What is laser tag?
Laser Tag is a recreational shooting sport where participants use light guns (Blasters) that emit infrared light to tag designated targets. Infrared-sensitive signal devices (Vests) are worn by each player to register hits, and sometimes (depending on the chosen game type), signal devices (Stations or Bases: Smart Domination Box, SIRIUS Station, Multistation) are integrated within the Game Room (Arena) where the game takes place.
The screen inside the Game Room (Arena) where the game is played displays the time spent in the game, the time remaining until the end, the total team scores (if players are divided into teams), and/or the total score of each individual player (if players are playing solo).
The biggest difference between Laser Tag and other sports is that Laser Tag is safe and clean. Laser Tag uses completely safe laser beams that will never hurt anyone, and a player registers a hit as a vibration on the Vest, along with accompanying sound effects.
The interior of the Game Room (Arena) looks like a world from the future, and players navigate the game through a maze of objects with special effect markers, under UV (ultraviolet) lights, additional effects like lasers, and a fog machine (where laser beams are more visible), all accompanied by music specially prepared for the game.
A 15-minute Laser Tag game burns between 350 and 700 calories and positively influences the development of psychophysical coordination.
